Tangier Airport: Tangier Boukhalef Airport

Tangier Airport, the Ibn Battouta Airport, is situated in the Boukhalef district some 15 kilometers southeast of Tangier. The airport has two terminals, with the state of the art terminal 2 recently inaugurated in July 2008 to increase capacity and offer better facilities.

Tangier Airport: Facilities

There are a number of restaurants available to passengers within the airport. A couple of banks with bureau de change and post office services are available from Monday – Friday between 8:30 and 16:30. The new terminal has an art gallery and Internet access points.

Tangier Airport: Transport

There are no direct bus or train transport links from Tangier Boukhalef Airport, the bus station is quite inconvenient located some 2 kilometers away. To get to Tangier city centre, take a cream-colored grand taxi – this should cost around 100dh for up to six passengers.

Tangier Airport: Flights

Royal Air Maroc has twice daily flights to Casablanca, daily direct to Malaga and twice weekly direct to London Heathrow and Paris Orly. Low cost carriers Easyjet and Ryanair have cheap flights to Marseille and Paris Charles de Gaulle respectively. There are also regular connections with Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga operated by Easyjet and Iberia.
