Fes Weather: Weather in Fes
The weather in Fez can vary to the extremes, from fluffy white clouds on a sunny day to heavy rain ripping through the plains to gently falling rain. People are often surprised by heavy rain for a period followed by a week or so of warm and sunny weather.
Generally, the rainy season starts in October and lasts until March. While the weather in this period is cold and wet, it is not unusual for it to be sunny and warm also. Expect the temperatures in Fez to vary from 0 to 14 degrees. The summer period – from June to August – is wickedly hot, with temperatures in the high thirties not unusual.
The best time to visit Fez is during the spring / autumn period. At this time of the year, the surrounding countryside of the Middle Atlas is refreshingly cool while the winter rains bring forth scores of wildflowers to the town.
Bear in mind that generally the temperatures inside the Medina are usually 2-5 degrees cooler than in the forecast.
