Review of Riad Myra Fes, Morocco

Riad Myra is a remarkable riad in the vibrant heart of the Medina, built at the beginning of the last century and impeccably converted and renovated to its former glory and splendour in close conformity with Moroccan history, culture and the art of Moorish architecture.

Riad Myra’s splendour is most evident in the central courtyard and the sumptuously decorated suites and bedrooms. The internal patio is wonderfully atmospheric, with some of the finest zellij, plasterwork, carved wood and brass work that you can see outside of the tourist attractions. The bedrooms and suites are furnished and decorated in a mix of traditional Moroccan and antique English, with heavy drapes and bed covers of gold and burgundy.

The Riad offers fine and refined Fassi cuisine. Lunches and dinners are served in the central patio, the Moroccan Al Fassia Salon or in the upstairs terrace with the amazing view of the walled old quarters. If you fancy a break from sightseeing, head to the traditional Hammam for a soothing and invigorating spa treatment.
