Review of The Teahouse Essaouira, Morocco
The Tea House is a beautifully restored traditional house inside the old walled harbour of Essaouira.
The owners of the riad, a former editor of the Sunday Style Magazine and her Marrakshi husband, have beautifully restored this 200 years-old mansion into a “riad-style” guesthouse while keeping most of its features intact.
The riad comprises two very stylish self-contained and well equipped-appartments arranged on separate floors around a central courtyard. Each apartment has two bedrooms, an ensuite bathroom, kitchen and a sitting / dining room with open fire.
The roof-top terrace has great views across the town to the ocea – a great place to catch your breath, relax or enjoy your breakfast.
The owners of the Tea House will happily show you around and help with souvenir shopping. They are also very knowledgeable in what to do and see in Essaouira and the rest of Morocco.
