Dar Terrae is the first riad to open in Chefchaouen, taking advantage of the riad craze in Fez and Marrakech.

This charming Andalusian-style guesthouse has a homely atmosphere, with beautifully decorated rooms and strikingly painted walls.

Each room is different and comes with its own fireplace and bathroom. There is also a total of three roof-top terraces, great for lounging while surveying the medina and the surrounding hills.

The Italian owners prepare a succulent breakfast everyday and are on-hand for other meals on request.

Dar Terrae is poorly signed, so if in doubt just ask for “Hotel Italiano” as it is locally known.
