Beni Mellal Orientation, Arrival and Transport

Beni Mellal is quite a large city but it’s a breeze to navigate. The main road, traversing the centre of town is Avenue Mohammed V. Locate the cream-and-white arcade Place de Liberation: this is the central square at the heart of the Medina. The Ville Nouvelle stretches to the south, beyond the ring road of Avenue Mohammed V and Avenue Hassan II. The banks, restaurants and most hotels are located here.

Getting there – Transport in Beni Mellal

Beni Mellal is at a junction of crossroads at the foothill of the Middle Atlas, on the important route between Marrakech and Fez. As such, it is well served by buses and grand taxis.

By Bus

The bus station is in the northern suburbs of Beni Mellal, at the very edge of Avenue des FAR.

CTM buses run daily services to Fez, Casablanca and Marrakech. Private companies operate more frequent and slightly cheaper services to the same routes in addition to Rachidia, Meknes, Nador, Safi, Essaouira and Al Jadida.

By Grand Taxi

The grand taxi lot is just behind the bus station – services run to Marrakech, Azilal, Ouzoud, Casablanca and Rabat. For Fez and Azrou, grand taxis leave from the esplanade opposite the CTM office.
