Dar Mouna is a charming family-run guesthouse set on a buff bang opposite the fortified ksar of Ait Benhaddou.

Constructed in red pisé throughout, Dar Mouna is built around a cosy central courtyard, with comfortable rooms on two levels and a clay-brick fireplace for those cool winter evenings. The rustic rooms are traditionally decorated with local finds and have good-sized bathrooms and large walk-in showers.

The guesthouse has arguably Ait Benhaddou’s most romantic terrace, the “terrasse panoramique” overlooking the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Request your meals to be taken out here and enjoy the unique view under the woven grass umbrellas.

An earth and stone restaurant adjoins the main building and offers an adventurous menu with Egyptian soup, chicken crepes and flambéed banana on offer besides the Moroccan standards.
