Review
The Helios Palais Des Roses (formerly Le Meridien Hotel) is a five-star hotel located at the Founty area towards the southern end of the Bay of Agadir. This fairly new resort property, opened in 2002, has a private beach, a large state-of-the-art Thalasso therapy centre with individual therapy rooms, and excellent facilities and cuisine.
This “Palace of the Roses” develops the theme of a traditional Berber home with the use of leather and linen, hanging rugs and Berber art and lots of woodwork. Bedrooms have tastefully appointed furniture and fittings giving it a contemporary and soothing look and. All offer modern amenities - air-conditioning, satellite TV, ensuite bathroom, mini-bar, hairdryer and safe - and look into a garden with ornamental pool and fountain or over the pools.
Guests of Hotel Palais des Roses can dine in any of the three onsite restaurants. The Med serves a variety of fish and pasta dishes, Chin Chang specialises in a la carte Asian cooking, and Saffran is a traditional Moroccan restaurant offering folk music and belly dancing.
Other facilities include a pool with two lagoons, tennis court, golf practice, children's mini club, games room, a state-of-the-art spa centre with sea aquarium, cartoon films, babysitting and internet connections. There is also a Piano Bar, Billiards Bar, Cigar Club (with Cuban entertainment), Moorish Cafe (with Gnaoua entertainment), three themed nightclubs and a bridge room.
