Review of Riad des Golfs Agadir, Morocco
Riad des Golfs, one of the first of its kind in Agadir, stands in a highly privileged location in a eucalyptus forest close to the Royal Palace and six minutes from the tourist centre. Within the walls lies a wonderful riad style guest house with a palm filled garden and decent-sized swimming pool. It is ideal for those looking to stay near the golf or to be near the facilities of Agadir without actually being in the resort itself.
The riad features eight junior suites decorated throughout with Berber rugs, tadelakt walls and stylish furnishings of mostly Moroccan influence but some touches of European luxury. All the suites are air-conditioned and have a mini-bar, internet line, a television and telephone. The bathrooms include bath and separate toilets. The Eucalyptus & Grenadier suites distinguish themselves with a private terrace and flower garden, while the other suites each have a terrace.
During your stay here, you will find yourself surrounded by lush gardens, where small seating areas invite you to just relax and listen to the tinkling fountains. The riad has an outdoor heatable swimming pool with sun lounges and umbrellas so guests can unwind after a day sightseeing or playing golf. A hammam is on hand too with all the spoiling touches. Two 27-hole golf courses and an equitation club face the riad.
Your hosts, Paul & Bernard are food amateurs and offer a wonderful cuisine in a refined ambiance. Breakfast is served on the terrace by the pool and for dinner excellent French and Moroccan cuisine is served. The owners take pride in passing on their knowledge of Agadir and its surrounds.
